Summa Group has created a management company in order to consolidate its engineering assets. The association will include Stroynovatsiya OJSC, Intex OJSC, GlobalElectroService JSC, design centers (including Neftproekt Design Institute) and a number of other legal entities. The management company was named Transengineering. The company is headed by Eldar Nagaplov, the General Director of GlobalElectroService JSC and Chairman of the Board of Directors at Stroynovatsiya and Intex.
 
Transengineering consolidates the engineering asset portfolio of Summa Group, which creates a significant synergistic effect. A single asset strategy will be developed, including M&A policies, consolidation of production functions, and the creation of a single commercial unite. The company plans to create an R&D subdivision as well.
 
The management company will have expertise in 7 areas of the construction business: road construction, construction of power and oil and gas facilities, civil aviation infrastructure, port infrastructure, the reconstruction of cultural and historical objects as well as construction of athletic facilities.
 
The backlog of the combined assets amounts to over 70 billion RUB. The consolidated revenue for 2013 totaled more than 35 billion RUB. According to these indicators, the joint company will be in the top ten largest engineering companies in Russia.
 
According to the President of Summa Group Alexander Vinokurov, infrastructure construction is a major business priority for the company. “Our engineering assets have implemented a number of strategic projects, form the construction of the largest Russian oil port in Primorsk and laying a high voltage cable across the bottom of the Gulf of Finland to the reconstruction of the Bolshoi Theatre and the construction of the Kazan Arena stadium,” Mr.Vinokurov explained.
 
“Transengineering has united the best team of professionals on the market. The new structure will allow us to implement new turnkey projects regardless of complexity, which will create new opportunities for our clients and partners,” Eldar Nagaplov said.
