He also talked about internship and externship opportunities at the company, working conditions, benefits the company offers to young professionals, and some solutions to their housing and social problems. The meeting was organized with the support of the Coordination Center for the Graduates of Technical Colleges, a noncommercial partnership.
Zairbek Yusupov spoke to the students briefly about the YATEC's business activities and the prospects for the company's growth. "In the last three years the company has doubled its revenue and net income, and now has 15 times as much capital investment. And we expect to see figures increase even more this year. Currently, YATEC is extracting 1.6 billion cubic meters of gas per year, and we have reserves sufficient to maintain that rate of production for at least the next 100 years," the CEO emphasized.
Responding to questions from students, Zairbek Yusupov noted that the company is currently very serious about recruiting young professionals, and they are "always especially pleased" to find young people from Yakutia who want to start their careers in their home republic after they graduate.
"Our company is constantly progressing and developing, but this would not be possible without ambitious, young, top-notch professionals. We take recruiting very seriously and hope that many of you will consider working with us after you graduate from college." Zairbek Ysupov emphasized.
YATEC can now provide its young, professional employees with everything they need. "YATEC offers higher salaries than other companies in Yakutia. We are willing to pay the relocation expenses of young professionals, and we're ready to provide all the support they need and do everything we can to make sure they have a pleasant environment to work in," added the CEO.
The students had many questions about the externship opportunities at YATEC. Zairbek Yusupov emphasized that "those are easy to arrange, and any student who is interested in an externship at our company will be given that opportunity, which includes the possibility of paid work."
The CEO pointed out that approximately 90 students from Yakutia currently study at Gubkin Russian State University. "There are some real opportunities opening up for you in this republic, because the biggest Russian oil and gas companies have recently arrived in Yakutia with some big plans of their own. Their work will be a real catalyst to the development of not only the republic, but the entire region," emphasized the CEO.
As they wrapped up the meeting, the director of YATEC and the students expressed their readiness to hold such meetings on a regular basis.
"This is the first time we have tried to hold an event like this. I am quite confident that the students are our future. And there's no doubt that we need these kinds of meetings. We're trying to improve, but that's not possible without a young workforce. We need thoughtful, energetic people," emphasized Zairbek Yusupov.
