Группа «Сумма» поддержит международный вокальный конкурс «Competizione dell’Opera» 2011
Summa Group has joined up with the State Academic Bolshoi Theatre of Russia to hold the international competition for Italian opera singers “Competizione dell’Opera” 2011.
The prestigious world opera competition –Operalia – is coming to an end in Moscow. The semi-final, final and gala concerts will take place on September 12-18, 2011 on the Bolshoi New stage. The jury of the competition will consist of 25 specialists among whom will be representatives of the Metropolitan Opera, “OPERA America” and “Opera Europa”. As a rule, success in the contest opens the doors of the world’s leading opera houses to young singers.

The Operalia contest was brought to life due to the support given by Summa Group. It is worth saying that Summa Group has been cooperating with the Bolshoi for years. Ziyavudin Magomedov, Founder and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Summa Group, is also a member of the board of trustees of the Bolshoi Theater and supports various creative ideas of the Bolshoi actors.
“The assistance given to the contest is intertwined with the cooperation between Summa Group and the Bolshoi Theater. The reconstruction and restoration of the Historical Stage is another milestone in our longstanding cooperation and an opportunity to make our contribution to development of theatrical culture”, said the authorized representative of the general contractor of the Bolshoi Theater reconstruction and restoration project, adviser to the president of the Summa Group, Mikhail Sidorov.
In June 2009 Summa Group joined the project of reconstruction and renovation of the historic building. The profound expertise of the company’s specialists helped accomplish the grand project on schedule. The ceremonial opening of the historic stage will be held on October 28, 2011.
In July 2011 the Bolshoi Theatre and Summa Group signed an agreement under which the company was to become the general partner of the events related to the opening of the famous stage.
Summa Group also participates in the organization of the Opening Gala Concert and will be the partner of all the Bolshoi performances to be presented on the Historic Stage this year.
