Ziyavudin Magomedov
From 1994-1998, he served as President of Interfinans Investments, and later served as Chairman of the Board of Directors. From 2002-2004, he headed the Board of Founders of the “Dialogue” Program Support Foundation. From 2004-2005, he served as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Trans-Oil, then Chairman of the Board of Directors of First Mining Company.
He is currently a partner of the Russian Olympians Foundation non-profit charitable organization, a member of the Board of Trustees of the Bolshoi Theater, the State Institute of Cinematography, the Diplomatic Academy of the Russian Foreign Ministry and the Foundation of the European University of St. Petersburg. He has been awarded the Order of Friendship (2010), a Presidential Certificate of Merit for his contribution to the restoration of the Bolshoi Theatre (2012), and the Order of Merit (2012).
He is also a member of the Russian Council on International Affairs. In June 2012, he joined the President’s Council on Economic Modernization and Innovative Development, the Supervisory Board of the Moscow Institute of Steel and Alloys, and in September 2013 became a member of the Board of Trustees of the Foundation for the Development and Support of the Valdai International Discussion Club.
On July 1, 2010, by an order of the President of the Russian Federation, he was appointed Representative of the Russian Federation to the Business Advisory Council of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation for 2010-2012. In 2012, he served as Chairman of the APEC Business Advisory Council.
Ziyavudin Magomedov graduated from the Economics Faculty of Moscow State University in 1994 with a degree in the Global Economy. In 2000, he earned a Candidate’s Degree in Economics.
